MyTOWN opening marks our third shopping centre in Southeast Asia

Featuring a wide mix of tenants including IKEA Cheras, H&M and Uniqlo, our second shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur, MyTOWN, proudly opened its doors to the public for the first time on 16 March. Excited shoppers had lined up for hours to ensure they got their hands on some of the great opening day offers.

“I’m a regular shopper at IKEA Cheras and saw the MyTOWN opening advertisement. I’m really excited about this new mall as the location is really strategic and convenient for me as it is near my home,” said one of them in an interview with Utusan online.

Besides shopping, there was plenty more on offer for opening day visitors to enjoy, such as face or rock painting, exciting games and performances, and a line of food trucks, and all adding to the celebrative atmosphere.

“It’s going to be a very exciting month, and we can assure that there is a lot more in the pipeline to be unveiled in the coming months,” said MyTOWN Centre Manager Joakim Hogsander.

At an opening ceremony attended by select invitees, tenants and co-workers, Ikano Retail Asia manager Christian Rojkjaer stressed that the journey had only begun.

“MyTOWN will become better and better. Together we will make MyTOWN THE place to shop, dine, play, hang out and simply enjoy. This is a place where our vision of creating a better everyday life for the people in Kuala Lumpur comes alive.”
