We are pleased to announce that Carola Lavén has been appointed new CEO of Ikano Bostad. Carola will join us during the autumn 2024, replacing Robert Jaaniste, who plans to retire after fifteen years as CEO of Ikano Bostad.

Carola’s most recent assignment was as CEO at Besqab, a listed project development company in Stockholm – a position which she held since 2020. She has a Master of Science in Engineering from KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and has 30 years of experience within the real estate business in Sweden. Among others, Carola served six years as President of NCC Property Development and ten years as Head of Business Development at Atrium Ljungberg.

Lars Thorsén, CEO of Ikano Group says, “Carola has a broad experience in project development and portfolio management and a leadership style that pairs well with our own company culture. We foresee significant opportunities for Ikano Bostad and I believe Carola together with the Ikano Bostad team have what it takes to develop and grow the business.”
