Senior Insurance Advisor, Construction, Luxembourg

Ikano Insurance Advisory SA (IIA) is currently engaged on all insurance advisory aspects of our clients within the IKEA Franchise system. We are seeking an Insurance Advisor to join our advisory team in Luxembourg. In this role you will maintain strong relationships with our clients, ensuring their needs are met with high standards.

As Senior Insurance Advisor, you will be part of a small but very dynamic and competent team. We are looking for a good communicator, customer focused and agile colleague with a strong teamwork approach who will advise our core clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for one or more classes of insurance business.
  • Client responsibility for one of the core customers.
  • Provide highly qualified advise to customers regarding Construction & Erection All Risk and Marine Cargo.
  • Negotiate, purchase, advise, administrate the placed insurance coverage and support on claim handing for these lines of insurance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored advisory services.
  • Facilitate meetings, including preparation and follow-up actions to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Lead the Digital transformation.

You will join a dynamic, flexible, and client-oriented team and work in an efficient, committed, curious and agile manner.  To efficiently take on this position, you need:

  • Relocate to Luxembourg, if not already living there
  • Long experience in the large Corporate Insurance segment
  • Profound knowledge and experience advising on global Construction/Erection All Risk
  • Holds an European insurance broker license
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written). German language is considered an asset.
  • Availability to travel on a regular basis

A successful candidate also has the following characteristics:

  • Preferably good understanding of Marine Cargo insurance programs and a good general understanding of aspect of other non-life insurance lines.
  • Deep knowledge and experience implementing compliant insurance structures.
  • Good experience in claims handling in the above mentioned Insurance lines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
