Ikano Retail is one of 12 IKEA franchisees. Through our omnichannel business, we create a better everyday life in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico and the Philippines, offering well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible are able to afford them. Our Ikano Centres, anchored by IKEA, are retail destinations at the heart of our communities. We also invest in real estate to develop places for people to live, work and play. We are the only franchisee owned by the family of Ingvar Kamprad, who founded IKEA in 1943.

The year in brief
- Invested in lower prices on more than 1,000 IKEA products, developed personalised shopping experiences, and moved ahead on our climate transition plans while navigating some of the most turbulent economic conditions, inflation, and supply disruptions to our business.
- Opened our first Sustainable Living Shop at IKEA Bangna to inspire Thai customers to save energy, reduce food waste and conserve water with our products.
- Introduced nine new payment solutions to make IKEA shopping more convenient.
- Rewarded 5 million IKEA Family members through our growing loyalty programme.
- Involved 1,117 co-workers in local community impact projects through our Social Days.
- Kickstarted four big solar installation projects across our stores and centres, with the goal of having 21% of our total electricity needs supplied by on-site solar panels by 2026.
- Attracted 4.2 million additional visits to our shopping centres in Malaysia and Thailand with inspiring community events and experiences.
- Clocked 65,169 co-worker training hours as we prepared to open our third IKEA store in Mexico and developed new omnichannel experiences for customers across our markets.
- Made 14% of our trips to customer homes in Electric Vehicles – 146,000 deliveries in more sustainable transport.
- Launched a new and improved IKEA Mobile Shopping app.
- Welcomed more than 90,000 visitors in the first 11 days of operation at our first full-format store in Mexico with IKEA Guadalajara Expo.
- Flagged off more than 23,000 runners from 64 countries at a marathon event with our Klippa shopping centre partners at the Aspen-Klippa Penang Bridge International Marathon Run.
- Co-hosted a 10-hour star-studded New Year’s Eve countdown concert with over 72,000 participants at our Megabangna shopping centre in East Bangkok.
