The year in brief
- In 2023, we have continued to deliver on our multiannual plan for profitable growth and we are well on our way to becoming a fully digital bank, with better opportunities to offer simple financial services that suit the needs of the many people and businesses.
- By investing in the latest technology, we develop a completely new banking platform.
- Our collaboration with IKEA continues to give good results, driving volume and sales in a good way.
- Our business in the corporate segment shows good growth in both factoring and leasing, and we are making good progress in developing the financing of green solutions.
- During the last months of 2023, we have also laid the foundation for a new payment infrastructure with launches in both Finland and Denmark.
- The Swedish IKEA loan, launched in late 2022, has been followed by a similar loan product on the Finnish market during 2023.
- We again received customer recognition with the Fairness Award in Germany, honouring our credit card for IKEA Family members in Germany, which was launched in 2022 and continues to generate a large number of new customers.
- In May, we launched our new Leadership program LeadWell, based on our values and with a focus on performance management. The first group successfully finished in December, when the second group started.
- During 2023, we developed a sustainability training for all employees of the Bank, which we will launch shortly.
- We introduced a Mental Health First Aiders programme to support mental health in the workplace. We now have a team of 25 certified MHFAs working across the Bank, who act as a confidential first point of contact for colleagues who need support.
- We moved our German office to a building designed for longevity and with sustainability in mind. In addition to running on 100 percent certified renewable electricity, the building is equipped with efficient building component activation for heating and cooling (thermo-active ceiling). All systems are equipped with heat recovery and the building is digitally controlled for energy-saving purposes.
